Representatives from Lexington based CRA (Cultural Resource Analysts, Inc) are in Camp Springs this week conducting an architectural survey for the proposed force main project. Field Tech George Seidelman (left) and Archaeological Historian Matthew McMahan are documenting all above-ground resources 50 years of age and older within the APE (Area of Potential Effect). The documentation will include mapping, photography and written descriptions.

The results of the survey will be documented in a detailed written report that will describe all cultural historic resources located during the field survey, assess their eligibility for listing in the National Register of Historic Places, recommend NR boundaries (when appropriate) and determine the effects of the proposed project on eligible sites.

These efforts are another step in the process of determining the future of the proposed force main project.

For more information on CRA, visit their web-site at www.crai-ky.com.
